Tiivistelmä
Tämän toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli uudistaa Vanhan Vaasan sairaalan osaston U2 perehdytyskansio. Työn tavoitteena oli koota tarkoituksenmukainen ja laadukas perehdytyskansio. Perehdytyskansion tarkoituksena on olla apuvälineenä uuden työntekijän tai opiskelijan kokonaisvaltaisessa perehdytyksessä. Tavoitteena oli koota uusi ajan tasalla oleva perehdytyskansio.
Tämän opinnäytetyön teoreettisena viitekehyksenä toimii psykiatrinen hoitotyö, oikeuspsykiatria, Vanhan Vaasan sairaala sekä perehdyttäminen. Edellä mainitut ovat myös opinnäytetyön keskeisiä käsitteitä. Opinnäytetyön materiaalit ja lähteet ovat haettu Vaasan ammattikorkeakoulun tieteellisestä kirjastosta ja eri tietokannoista. Perehdytyskansiota suunnitellessa teetettiin osaston henkilökunnalle vapaaehtoinen kysely, jonka pohjalta perehdytyskansion kokoamista lähdettiin toteuttamaan.
Opinnäytetyön valmistuttua perehdytyskansio on ollut osastolla käytössä vain hetken, joten opinnäytetyön tavoitteiden toteutumista on vaikeaa arvioida. Perehdytyskansio on kuitenkin tarpeellinen osastolla U2, sillä aiempi perehdytyskansio sisälsi paljon vanhentunutta ja epäolennaista tietoa. Perehdytyskansio lähetettiin osastolle myös sähköisessä muodossa kannustamaan sen säännöllistä päivittämistä. The purpose of this practice-based bachelor`s thesis was to renew the orientation folder for Vanha Vaasa Hospital ward U2. The aim of the bachelor`s thesis was to compile an appropriate and high quality orientation folder. The purpose of the orientation folder is to assist in the orientation of a new employee or a student. The aim was to compile a new updated orientation folder.
The theoretical frame of this bachelor`s thesis includes psychiatric nursing, forensic psychiatry, Vanha Vaasa Hospital and orientation. Those terms are also the key concepts in the bachelor`s thesis. The material and sources of the bachelor`s thesis have been searched in the scientific library of Vaasa UAS. During the planning of the orientation folder, a survey with voluntary participation was carried out with the nursing staff on the ward and based on the responses, the orientation folder was made.
After the bachelor`s thesis was completed, the orientation folder has been in use only for a moment at the ward, so it is difficult to evaluate the achievement of the goals of the bachelor`s thesis. However, the orientation folder is necessary in the ward U2 because the previous orientation folder contained a lot of outdated and irrelevant information. The orientation folder was also sent to the ward electronically to encourage regular updates.
