The primary focus of the study was to assess the degree to which the sustainability practices were utilized in Bock’s Corner Brewery and whether the restaurant could be called sustainable. In addition, customers’ and employee attitudes and suggestions regarding the topics were researched.
The research started with gathering relevant theory on CSR, its concept and benefits, sustainability challenges in the food and restaurant industry, and the correlation of the two. Furthermore, six staff members of Bock’s were interviewed alongside the survey posted online gathering seventy-eight responses from the restaurant’s visitors.
The analysis of the data stipulates that Bock’s Corner Brewery could be defined as an example of a sustainable food establishment. Although the results showed that communication on overall agenda was not executed ideally, the perceptions towards environmental activities success remained high among customers. In addition, the study revealed that Bock’s has implemented multiple strategies in tackling problems like waste, food security, foods harvesting and customer perceptions.
