The primary focus of the study was to evaluate how to create a working sustainability business strategy for Faros Restaurant Ship, to take that strategy and implement it into the restaurant's daily practices. In addition, the owner’s, and employees' perceptions towards both the topic of sustainability and the implementation process were further researched.
Research began by gathering applicable theory on how to create a sustainable business strategy within a business. As well as gathering theory on sustainability as a concept, the advantages it brings to businesses and additional theories such as Toyota’s Seven Sources of Waste that help with enhancing efficiencies in sustain-ability. Observations occurred during implementation period whereas face to face and phone interviews were conducted after the implementation period was finished.
The results conclude that creating and implementing a sustainable business strategy for Faros Restaurant Ship takes significant planning, systematic involvement, and commitment from the whole organization.
