Palveluneuvonnan ja -ohjauksen kehittämisprosessi Keuruun kotihoidossa

Abstract

Opinnäytetyömme tarkoituksena oli kehittää palveluneuvontaa ja -ohjausta selkiyttämällä ehkäisevän vanhustyön, palveluneuvonnan ja -ohjauksen käsitteitä Keuruun sosiaalitoimen sairaanhoitajien kanssa. Opinnäytetyö oli kehittämisprosessi, jonka aikana oli tarkoitus rakentaa kattava, selkeä ja helposti luettava palveluopas Keuruun kaupungin ikäihmisille suunnatuista palveluista ja etuuksista ammattilaisten työvälineeksi ja tietolähteeksi ikäihmisille.

Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin toimintatutkimuksena. Aineisto kerättiin havainnoimalla ja havainnoinnin pohjalta kirjoitetun päiväkirjan avulla. Lisäksi aineistona käytettiin toiminnan aikana tuotettua muuta kirjallista materiaalia kuten muistioita, sähköposteja ja ryhmän antamaa palautetta.

Kehittämisprosessin aikana kerätty materiaali palveluoppaaseen ei ollut riittävää. Opasta varten saatiin kerättyä vajaa puolet tarvittavasta materiaalista, joten opas ei valmistunut kehittämisprosessin aikataulussa. Palveluoppaan työstäminen jatkuu kotihoidon omana projektina.

Palautekyselyn vastauksista ilmeni, että ehkäisevä vanhustyö on käsitteenä tutumpi kuin palveluneuvonta ja -ohjaus. Toimintatutkimusmenetelmä oman työn kehittämisessä oli uutta. Palautekyselyyn vastanneiden mielestä paras keino oman työn kehittämiseen ovat asiantuntijaluennot.

The purpose of our thesis was to develop advisory services and service guidance by clarifying the concepts of preventative elderly care, advisory service and service guidance with the nurses at the Keuruu social administration. The thesis was a development process, during which the aim was to build a comprehensive, clear and easy-to-read service guide to the services and benefits aimed at the elderly in the town of Keuruu as a tool for professionals and a reference for the elderly.

The thesis was implemented as active research. Source material was collected through observation and a diary written on the basis of what we observed. Additionally, other written material produced during the action was used as source material such as notes, e-mails and feedback given by the group.

During the development process the collected material for the service guide was not sufficient. The guide was collected for less than half of the required material so the service guide was not completed within the development process schedule. The service guide is continued as a project in home care.

Answers from the feedback survey revealed that the concepts of preventative elderly care are more familiar than advisory services and service guidance. The action research method in the development of our own work was strange. Returned the survey respondents felt that, the best method of developing one's own work is attending expert lectures.
