Toiminnanohjausjärjestelmän hankintaprojektin esiselvitys

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön aiheena on Tervolassa sijaitsevan Lapin Puukko Oy:n käyttöön sopivan toiminnanohjausjärjestelmän hankintaan ja käyttöönottoon liittyvien tarpeiden selvittäminen. Esiselvityksen tarkoituksena on pienentää riskiä, että hankittava tietojärjestelmä olisikin tarkoitukseensa sopimaton, hankalakäyttöinen tai jopa haitallinen.

Teoriaosuudessa käsitellään toiminnanohjauksen ja ERP-järjestelmätyyppien pääperiaat-teet sekä järjestelmän hankintaprosessin vaiheet ja hankintaan liittyvät ongelmat ja riskit

Työ toteutuksessa on käytetty C-CEI-menetelmää, joka on pk-yrityksille suunnattu ERP-järjestelmän hankintaa ja käyttöönottoa tukeva menetelmä, ja se koostuu toiminto-, toimintaympäristö- ja riskianalyysivaiheista. Analyyseja voidaan soveltaa järjestelmä-hankkeen lisäksi erilaisiin tuotannon tehostamishankkeisiin tai organisaation kehitys-hankkeisiin.

C-CEI-menetelmä ottaa huomioon yrityksen vaatimukset järjestelmälle, mutta myös järjestelmien rajoitukset ja vaatimukset organisaatiolle. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on, että yritys saa nykytilan ja uuden tavoiteltavan toimintamallin kuvauksen sekä ERP-järjestelmän priorisoidun vaatimusmäärittelyn, jota voidaan käyttää järjestelmien vertailussa tarjouspyynnön liitteenä.

Työ rajattiin koskemaan vain ERP-järjestelmän hankintaa edeltäviin vaiheisiin, eikä siihen kuulu yrityksen prosessien parantaminen tai kehittäminen, järjestelmien ominaisuuksien ja järjestelmävaihtoehtojen selvittäminen eikä järjestelmän käyttöönoton suunnittelu.

Työn tuloksena yritys saa toimintaympäristön kuvauksen ja kehitysehdotukset, joiden avulla se pystyy hankkimaan toimintaansa mahdollisimman sopivan järjestelmän. ERP-järjestelmän valintaan, käyttöönottoon ja käyttöön kohdistuvan riskianalyysin avulla yritys voi tehdä toimintamalliaan koskevia ratkaisuja ERP-järjestelmä ja -toimittaja-riippumattomasti ennen toimittajan valintaa. Työn valmistuminen ei tule johtamaan järjestelmän välittömään hankkimiseen.

The subject of this study was to find out the requirements of Lapin for an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and its implementation. The aim of this preliminary report was to lower the risk that the ERP system to-be acquired would not fulfil its purpose, would be hard to manage or at the worst, be counterproductive.

The main principles of operation management and different ERP systems are concerned in the theory section. The same section deals with the stages of the system acquiring process including the problems and risks of the process.

A Customer-Centred ERP Implementation (C-CEI) method was used in this study. The C-CEI method is directed to the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and it attempts to develop an ERP implementation by its three analyses: operational, contextual, and risk analysis. The analysis can be applied to different production enhancing projects or the organisation’s development projects.

The C-CEI-method takes into account the corporation’s requirements to the system, the restrictions and demands of the system for the organization. This study gives the corporation a view of their present state and future demands and also a prioritised demand specification, which can be used in the appendixes of the bids.

The study was limited to consist only of the stages preceding the acquiring of the ERP system. It does not include improving or developing the corporation’s processes, explaining the features of the system and alternative system options nor planning the system’s introduction.

As a result of this study, the corporation will receive the description and development propositions for the operational environment. With the help of the risk analysis consisting of the selection, introduction and usage of the ERP system, the corporation will be able to make solutions regardless of the ERP system and supplier before picking the supplier. The conclusion of this study will not lead to an immediate acquiring of the system.
