Abstract

Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli kartoittaa sitä, kuinka hyödylliseksi Työterveyshoitaja-lehden lukijat kokevat lehden. Lisäksi tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli kartoittaa lukijoiden mielipiteitä lehden sisällöstä ja heidän lukemistottumuksiaan. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli tehdä Työterveyshoitaja-lehdestä mahdollisimman hyödyllinen kohderyhmälleen. Tutkimuksen teoreettisessa viitekehyksessä käsitellään keskeisiä asioita työterveyshuollosta, ammattiliitosta, lukijatutkimuksesta sekä Työterveyshoitaja-lehdestä. Tutkimus toteutettiin määrällisenä kyselytutkimuksena, johon sisältyi kaksi laadullista kysymystä. Tutkimusaineisto kerättiin syksyllä 2020 sähköisellä e-lomakkeella. Kyselyyn vastanneita oli 212. Työterveyshoitaja-lehden lukijat olivat pääsääntöisesti hyvin tyytyväisiä lehteen. Kun tarkasteltiin lukemistottumusten yhteyttä Työterveyshoitaja-lehden mielipideväittämiin, löydettiin kolme tilastollisesti merkitsevää yhteyttä. Vastaajat, jotka lukivat korkeintaan yhden artikkelin lehdestä, olivat suurimmaksi osaksi melko tyytyväisiä lehteen, kun taas vastaajat, jotka lukivat useamman artikkelin lehdestä, olivat suurimmaksi osaksi hyvin tyytyväisiä lehteen. Kun tarkasteltiin säästääkö vastaaja lehden lukemisen jälkeen, suurin osa niistä, jotka säästivät lehden, olivat hyvin tyytyväisiä lehteen. Vastaajat, jotka eivät säästäneet lehteä lukemisen jälkeen, olivat suurimmaksi osaksi melko tyytyväisiä lehteen. The purpose of the study was to find out how useful the readers of Työterveyshoitaja-Magazine think this magazine is. A further purpose was to find out the readers’ reading habits and also their opinions on the contents of the magazine. The aim of the study was to make Työterveyshoitaja-Magazine as useful as possible for its target group. The theoretical framework of the study deals with key concepts concerning occupational health care, trade union, readershipresearch, and Työterveyshoitaja-Magazine. The study was conducted as a quantitative questionnaire that included two qualitative questions. The research material was collected in autumn 2020 using an electronic e-form. There were 212 respondents. Readers of Työterveyshoitaja-Magazine were generally very satisfied with the magazine. When viewing the association of reading habits with the opinion statements of Työterveyshoitaja-Magazine, three statistically significant connections were found. The respondents who read no more than one article in the magazine were mostly fairly satisfied with the magazine, while the respondents who read several articles from the magazine were mostly very satisfied with the magazine. When viewing whether the respondent kept the magazine after reading it, most of those who kept the magazine were very satisfied with the magazine. The respondents who did not keep the magazine after reading it, were mostly quite satisfied with the magazine. The respondents who thought that Työterveyshoitaja-Magazine was published often enough, were mostly very satisfied with the magazine, while respondents who thought that the magazine was not published often enough, were mostly quite satisfied with the magazine. For Työterveyshoitaja-Magazine, the readership research was the first.
