The purpose of this project is to gamify the learning of Cricket in Finland. Cricket is a sport, which is growing in popularity, and the new learners can struggle with the complex nature of the game. The project aims to provide a digital platform for potential Cricket enthusiasts to learn the game efficiently.
The project was carried out by developing a cross platform mobile application. The application was developed using MongoDB, Express, React Native, Node JS (MERN) stack. The application utilizes the extrinsic motivation technique of gamification.
The project resulted in production of a cross platform mobile application. The application allows the user to begin with by choosing any of the Cricket skill set, namely Batting, Bowling, and Fielding etc. The application also checks the users’ knowledge using appropriate tests.
To conclude, it can be stated that this application serves as a platform for eLearning of the sport of Cricket. The application is ready to be tested with learning of Cricket via books and lessons. The comparison can highlight important details about how digital training compares to the traditional teaching of Cricket.
