Tiivistelmä
This thesis studied User Experience (UX) and User Experience Design, the relationship between user behavior and psychology in UX design. The study's final goal is to apply the UX design knowledge and implement the psychological theory into an empirical project, Camellia Bees, a case company of rebuilding the website.
The research study is written in three parts, which comprise the definition of UX and UX design, structure and elements of UX, the psychological theories including the theory of reasoned action, and the theory of planned behavior. Studying the UX structure helps the author with a better understanding of the UX and UX development process. These psychological theories relate to user experience design, which implies the connection between user beliefs, user behaviors, and user decision-making.
The research knowledge was utilized and applied to create UX designs that supported the author in conducting a website rebuild for Camellia Bees' company case. It was decided to employ the qualitative methodology by having the interview with the business owner and one UX design expert in terms of the design result. After the discussion, the project was concluded to be qualified and verified with positive feedback toward the empirical project by implementing research knowledge to the company case.
