Tiivistelmä
The project aimed to design a system that consumed power as optimized as possible. The main components of the system included two Xbees, an Arduino Micro; otherwise, there were also an LED and a resistor that supported the current measurement.
In the built electronic circuit, two Xbee devices transmitted and sent data by wireless communication under the same radiofrequency. Additionally, those two Xbee modules used serial communication to connect with a PC and an Arduino Micro.
To fulfill the goal of the project, an Xbee module that was connected with an Arduino Micro was set up in the sleep mode. When no data transmission, it went to sleep, then woke up periodically and by a pin controlling as well. This helped to save power consumption for the device. Moreover, current measurement methods were studied and applied in this project.
