Maintaining Functional Ability Among Elderly People in Care

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out nursing interventions that help to maintain functional ability among the elderly. A review of previous research conducted on this topic was carried out. Five research articles that were relevant and met the criteria for this study were selected for review. This study demonstrates that nursing interventions play a significant role in promoting functional ability among the elderly. It also indicates the significance of including not only the care team but also the elderly in setting up care plans that will activate them and ensure their safety and healthy aging is not compromised.
