Tiivistelmä
Reima Oy is an international company that sells kidswear all over the world. Reima has an especially strong brand position in Europe and Russia. Ukraine is a growing and loyal market for the company. Sales in this country were a significant part of Reima’s sales in Central Europe last year.
Ukraine has a specific position in Europe, as it is not a European Union member yet but has already active trade relations with European countries which are determined by Trade Agreement from 2016. This position influences on deliveries, namely all imported goods should be customs cleared. The process of customs clearance and the required package of documents differ from other European partners of Reima and Russia.
The customer Support team in Reima coordinates sales and deliveries of Reima products. Customer Support Coordinator in charge of Ukrainian customers is responsible for providing commercial and shipping documents for customs clearance.
The purpose of this thesis is to create a guide for all necessary documents that the Customer Support Coordinator should provide to Ukrainian customers for convenient and cost-effective customs clearance. A part of these documents are obligatory, while a part of them helps the customers to benefits from paying a customs fee.
Information for instructions was collected from official sources such as the Finnish customs and the Finnish Chamber of Commerce (websites and consultations), as well as from the interview with the Ukrainian customers and their partners - customs brokers - who are involved in the customs clearance process in Ukraine.
The instructions have been tested and improved and the Customer Support Team of Reima has taken it into use. The instruction guide has also received a positive feedback from the Ukrainian customers.
