Tiivistelmä
The aim of this thesis was to implement a horizontal oriented layout for the Qt Design Studio's component library. Qt Design Studio is a user interface development tool for both the designers and developers. The thesis was commissioned by The Qt Company.
The layout was implemented with Qt Creator using the Qt framework, C++ and QML, while following the principles of agile software development. Scrum was used as the agile framework. The continuous development was carried out through the code review platform Gerrit.
The objectives of the thesis were accomplished during the given time of nine weeks and the finished solution will be included in the next release of the Qt Design Studio. The development process was perceived as challenging and instructive. The created horizontal layout could be further developed, for example, by expanding it to the other parts of the library, such as the assets library and the library header.
