Viestiverkon dokumentointimallin kehittäminen

Abstract

Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli kehittää Kuopion Energia Liikelaitokselle malli sähköverkon viestiverkon dokumentoimiseksi. Viestiverkko koostuu valokuitu- ja kuparikaapeleista sekä niiden laitteista ja kytkennöistä. Työssä keskityttiin vain viestiverkon laitteiden nimeämiseen ja merkitsemiseen, ei niissä kulkevaan dataan. Tarve kehittää ohjeet viestiverkon dokumentoimiseen syntyi, kun Kuopion Energia Liikelaitos otti käyttöönsä Tekla Oy:n TCN-sovelluksen, jolla voidaan dokumentoida viestiverkkoa.

Työssä selvitettiin, mitä tietoja dokumentoinnista tarvitaan ja mitä laitteita täytyy dokumentoida. Mallin kehityksessä otettiin selvää TCN-sovelluksen mahdollisuuksista ja rajoituksista sekä siitä, mitä merkintöjä on Kuopion Energia Liikelaitoksella aiemmin käytetty. Niitä tietoja käyttämällä kehitettiin dokumentointimalli, joka ottaa yhtiön tarpeet huomioon ja mahdollistaa viestiverkon dokumentoimisen myös tulevaisuudessa. Mallin toimivuutta testattiin dokumentoimalla valokuituverkkoa kehitettyjen merkintöjen mukaan. Palautteen mukaan dokumentointimalli on vastannut työlle annettuja tavoitteita.

Lopputuloksena tästä opinnäytetyöstä saatiin ohjeet Kuopion Energia Liikelaitokselle viestiverkon dokumentoimisesta TCN-sovellukseen sekä ohjeet laitteiden ja yhteyksien merkitsemiseen käytännössä. Ohjeilla on tarkoitus yhdenmukaistaa viestiverkon dokumentoiminen ja merkitseminen, jotta viestiverkkoa voidaan suunnitella ja käyttää tehokkaasti.

The purpose of this thesis was to develop a documentation model of a communication network for Kuopion Energia Liikelaitos. The communication network consists of optical fiber cables and copper cables, and their devices and connections. The thesis focused only on the nomination and marking of devices, not on the information in them. The need for developing instructions for the communication network arose when Kuopion Energia Liikelaitos introduced the TCN application of Tekla Oy which can be used for the documentation of the communication network.

First the information that will be needed from the documentation was clarified as well as which devices must be documented. When developing the model the possibilities and limitations of the TCN application were studied and what marks Kuopion Energia Liikelaitos has used before. By using this information a documentation model was developed which takes account of the needs of the corporation and will enable documentation of the communication network also in the future. The functionality of the documentation model was tested by documenting optical fiber networks according to the developed marks. According to the feedback, the documentation model met the goals set to the thesis.

As a result of this thesis, Kuopion Energia Liikelaitos has now instructions for the documentation of the communication network in the TCN application and instructions for marking devices and connections in practice. The purpose of the instructions is to standardize documentation and marking of the communication network so that the communication network can be planned and used effectively.
