Kulttuuriosuuskunta ILME - Millä keinoin osuuskunnan toimintaa voidaan kehittää?

Abstract

Opinnäytetyö käsitteli Kulttuuriosuuskunta ILMEen toiminnan kehittämistä. Osuuskunta on perustettu vuonna 2011. Se on toiminnaltaan monialainen, yhteisötaiteeseen ja taiteen soveltavaan käyttöön erikoistunut kulttuuriosuuskunta. Olen ollut jäsenenä osuuskunnan toiminnassa sen alkuajoista lähtien, joten opinnäytetyössä korostuu henkilökohtainen, vuosien aikana kertynyt kokemuspohja jäsenenä ja toimijana osuuskunnassa. Idea opinnäytetyölle lähti halusta kyetä mahdollistamaan osuuskunnan jäsenten työllistyminen osuuskunnan kautta. Lisäksi osuuskunnalle myönnettiin Taidetta hoitolaitoksiin apuraha vuodelle 2020, ja tämä mahdollisti taidetoiminnan toteuttamisen sosiaali- ja terveysalan laitoksissa ILMEen jäsenten toimesta.

Opinnäytetyö oli laadullinen tutkimus, jonka päätavoitteena oli edistää osuuskunnan toimintaa ja palveluita sekä niiden kehittämistä niin jäsenistön, yhteistyökumppaneiden kuin palveluiden tilaajienkin näkökulmasta. Osatavoitteena oli tehdä kehittämistoimintaa konkreettisesti perustuen aineistosta kerättyyn tietoon. Tutkimuksen aineisto koostui kahdesta osiosta: osuuskunnan jäsenen aiemmissa opinnoissaan suorittamasta kyselytutkimuksesta jäsenistölle, sekä tämän opinnäytetyön aikana suoritetusta puolistrukturoidusta teemahaastattelusta osuuskunnan yhteistyökumppaneille.

Opinnäytetyön kehittämistyö rajautui kahteen suurempaan kokonaisuuteen aineistosta saatujen tulosten perusteella: Verkkosivuston rakenteen päivittäminen, muokkaaminen ja sisältöjen luominen sekä myytävien taidepalveluiden kehittämistyö ja konseptointi. Tässä kehittämistyössä käytettiin palvelumuotoilun teoriapohjaa tukemaan työskentelyä. Lisäksi koko kehittämistyön ajan mukana oli osuuskunnan jäsenistöstä koottu palvelumuotoilutyöryhmä, joka antoi kehittämistyölle laajemman näkökulman tutkijan työn tueksi. Opinnäytetyön tuloksena syntyi konkreettisia kehittämistoimia, jotka edistivät osuuskunnan toimintaa ja loivat jäsenistölle mahdollisuuden edistää työllistymistään omalta osaltaan.

This thesis describes the research and development work conducted to improve the operation and services of cultural cooperative ILME. It is a multidisciplinary cultural cooperative that aims to increase society’s well-being through equally accessible art. It is founded in 2011 and the researcher has been a member of the cooperative ever since. Therefore there is also a personal approach emphasized in this thesis. Idea for the research was formed by the will to enable better possibilities for the cooperative’s members to employ themselves through ILME. The cooperative was awarded Taidetta hoitolaitoksiin scholarship for the year 2020 which made it possible for ILME and its member artists to produce artwork and workshops in social and health care institutions.

This thesis was a qualitative research which main objective was to promote and develop cooperative’s operation and services from the point of view of the member artists, the collaborators and the orderers. One objective was to carry out concrete development based on the research material which included two different parts. A previously conducted survey for the members of the cooperative by a single member artist for her studies and semi-structured interview conducted during this research for the collaborators of ILME.

The development work of this thesis was defined in two major parts based on the findings from the research material. Updating, editing and creating content for cooperative’s website and the conceptualization and the development of cooperative’s art services were the main parts of the work done. Service design theory base was utilized to support the development work. Also a working group formed from cooperative’s member was actively involved in the development work with the researcher. As a result of the thesis concrete development were achieved to the operation and the services of ILME. Therefore the members were able to employ themselves better through the cooperative.
