Tiivistelmä
The thesis introduces a new idea for a system called waste filter, which is to improve the waste management in some developing countries.
Generally, the whole thesis focuses on a simple mechanical structure that combines several mechanical processes. This ideal composting system can sort the mixed waste thrown away daily in households, based on some fundamental mechanical principles and environmental knowledge. The system is foreseen to be located in residential areas, where municipal solid waste sorting is not handled strictly in many Asian countries like Vietnam.
The thesis uses many methods like data collection, statistical observation and in-practice 2D to 3D sketching of the whole system of idea and its mechanical stages. Moreover, the various mechanical methods combined include grinding, sinking filter and conveyor which are very common in the industry. Each method gives different products, and the outcome is to enable separation of municipal solid waste
Therefore, the implementation of the thesis project is to introduce a new waste composting system to improve the current waste management system in the spots around the world where the waste management problem is emerging. The system will be a combination of design and collected technologies, which will promise the best efficiency for the outcome.
