Tiivistelmä
The aim of this paper is to explain what sharing economy is and how a business idea can be proposed using one of the Project Management tools such as the Business Model Canvas. In light of this, this project is being developed by explaining the growth of the sharing economy in Europe and how it is regulated by the EU. Following that, after describing several examples of platforms that provide this economic model, a business idea called FindMyGarage is presented as a solution to one of Donostia/San Sebastian's key problems: the chaos of finding parking space in the city. A value proposition is raised through a sharing economy idea that is carried out by the use of the Business Model Canvas. Finally, the value proposition of FindMyGarage is also explained by the use of the book The Invisible Company by Osterwalder & Others, and how this business idea represents a disruption or innovation in the market through the different blocks of the Business Model Canvas, such as how it is financed, generates profit, connects with customers, uses resources, and so on.
