Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tehdä selkeä infograafi hoitoalan ammattilaisille, Hirschsprungin tautia sairastaville potilaille, heidän omaisilleen sekä kaikille aiheesta kiinnostuneille. Aiheeksi valikoitui Hirschsprungin tauti ja tautia sairastavien elämänlaatu kirjoittajan oman mielenkiinnon vuoksi.
Opinnäytetyön tietoperustan kirjoittamisessa käytin pääasiassa luotettavia kotimaisia ja kansainvälisiä verkkolähteitä aiheen vähäisen painetun kirjallisuuden takia. Lähes kaikki käytetyistä lähteistä ovat alle kymmenen vuotta vanhoja.
Infograafin tavoitteena on olla kiinnostusta herättävä ja kattava tietopaketti Hirschsprungin taudista sekä potilaiden kokemasta elämänlaadusta. Lähteiden perusteella Hirschsprungin tautia sairastavat potilaat kokevat elämänlaadun pääpiirteittäin lähes yhtä hyväksi verrokkiryhmänsä kanssa. Suurin yksittäinen elämänlaatua heikentävä tekijä vaikutti olevan heikentynyt suolen toiminta.
Opinnäytetyön tavoitteiden saavuttamisen arvioinnissa käytin Webropol-kyselyä, jonka avulla palautetta kerättiin Oulun ammattikorkeakoulun hoitoalan opiskelijoilta. Palautteiden perusteella infograafi on tiivis, tarpeellinen ja mielenkiintoinen, jota opiskelijat voisivat käyttää itsekin tulevaisuuden ammatissaan. Hoitajien ymmärtäessä potilaita ja heidän sairauksiaan paremmin he voivat vaikuttaa positiivisesti potilaiden elämänlaatuun The purpose of the thesis was to make a clear infographic for nursing professionals, patients with Hirschsprung disease, their relatives and anyone interested in the subject. The topic, Hirschsprung's disease and the quality of life of people with the disease due to the author's own interest.
In writing my thesis literary report, I mainly used reliable domestic and international online sources, because of the limited print literature on the subject. Most of the used sources are less than 10 years old. The aim of the infographic is to be an interest-seeking and comprehensive handbook on Hirschsprung's disease and the quality of life experienced by patients. Based on the sources, patients with Hirschsprung disease experience quality of life primarily almost as good as their control group. The single biggest factor that impaired quality of life appeared to be impaired bowel function.
In assessing the achievement of the goals of the thesis, I used a Webropol survey to collect feedback from nursing students at Oulu university of applied sciences. Based on the reviews, the infographic is concise, necessary and interesting that students could use themselves in their future profession. As caregivers understand patients and their illnesses better, they can positively affect patients' quality of life.
