The purpose of this thesis was to get an introduction to the SMS alarm program operating in MicroSCADA Pro, and to create a similar interface to MicroSCADA X. Ensuring the operation of the new user interface with the real SMS modem was also part of the thesis.
First, the operation and implementation of the old SMS alarm program were studied to be better acquainted with it. The old SMS user interface had been implemented in the SCIL programming language, which had to be learnt to be able to transfer the same principles to the new interface. In the practical step, the user interface of the SMS program was created in MicroSCADA X using the HTML and SCIL programming languages and its operation was tested.
The aim of the thesis was achieved well because the user interface works in MicroSCADA X. The material obtained from the thesis and the expertise of the SMS program, and its implementation can be utilized in future customer projects.
