Vammatoimenpiteet ensihoidossa: opetusvideot Oulun ammattikorkeakoululle ja PPSHP:lle

Abstract

Ensihoidossa vaikeasti vammautuneiden potilaiden kuolleisuutta pyritään vähentämään tehokkaalla ja oikein kohdennetulla ensihoidolla. Tavoitteena sairaalan ulkopuolisessa hoidossa on potilaan lisävammautumisen estäminen, peruselintoimintojen turvaaminen ja mahdollisimman nopea kuljetuksen aloitus. Hoitolinja ja toimintasuunnitelma valitaan vammamekanismin ja -löydösten sekä potilaan tilan perusteella. Vammautuneen potilaan lopullinen hoito tapahtuu sairaalassa.

Teimme opinnäytetyönä opetusvideot Oulun ammattikorkeakoululle ja Pohjois-Pohjanmaan sairaanhoitopiirille, jotka toimivat työmme tilaajina. Aiheenamme on vammatoimenpiteet ensihoidossa. Tarve opetusmateriaalille syntyi ensihoidon lehtorin ehdotuksesta. Opetusvideoita valmistui kolme kappaletta ja niissä aiheena olivat ulkoisen verenvuodon tyrehdytys, lantiovyön käyttö sekä polvilumpion ja nilkan reponointi. Tuottamamme materiaali on todettu soveltuvaksi opetuskäyttöön.

Opinnäytetyömme tavoitteena oli tuottaa laadukkaita, opetuskäyttöön sopivia opetusvideoita Oulun ammattikorkeakoulun ja Pohjois-Pohjanmaan sairaanhoitopiirin käyttöön. Pitkän ajan kehitystavoitteena on tukea opiskelijan oppimista ja valmistautumista työelämää varten, sekä ylläpitää jo työelämässä olevien ammattilaisten osaamista. Tavoitteenamme on myös toimenpiteiden riskien minimointi sekä vammapotilaiden hoidon yhdenmukaistaminen.

Työssämme käytetty tietoperusta on kerätty luotettavista ja ajankohtaisista kansallisista sekä kansainvälisistä tutkimuksista ja artikkeleista sekä ensihoidon kirjallisuudesta. Videot luovutetaan Oulun ammattikorkeakoulun ja Pohjois-Pohjanmaan sairaanhoitopiirin käyttöön ja tilaajat saavat käyttää videoita haluamallaan tavalla.

In the emergency care of severe trauma patients, the goal is to decrease death rates with effective and properly targeted care. In pre-hospital care, the aim is to prevent further injuries, secure vital functions of the patient and to start the transportation to the hospital as early as possible. The strategies are based on the mechanism of the injury, known or suspected injuries and the current state of the patient. The definitive treatment of the trauma patient is provided in a hospital.

For our bachelor’s thesis, we made educational videos of procedures on trauma patients for Oulu University of Applied Sciences and the Northern Ostrobothnia Hospital district, who are also the subscribers of our thesis. The need for the educational material originated from our teacher’s suggestion. We made three videos, whose topics are stopping external bleeding, application of a pelvic binder and reposition of the ankle and the patella. The material is approved for educational purposes by the subscribers.

The aim of our bachelor's thesis was to produce high quality videos suitable for educational use for Oulu University of Applied Sciences and the Northern Ostrobothnia Hospital district. In the long term, the aim is to benefit the learning process of students and to maintain the skills of professionals already in the field. We also aim to minimize the risks of the procedures and to standardize the care of trauma patients.

The theory basis of this thesis is founded on reliable and current national and international studies and articles and emergency care literature. The videos will be handed over to be used by Oulu University of Applied Sciences and the Northern Ostrobothnia Hospital district who may use the material as they like.
