This thesis focuses on the Wi-SUN FAN standard and studies its performs in urban environments. The study was completed using two test modules. The first one investigates FAN's adaptability in the residential area and the other demonstrates its charisteristics (multi-hop, self-healing, self-forming).
The results of the first test module demonstrate how operating mode, class setting, retransmission process, and environment impact latency. The second test module demonstrates the step-by-step implementation of a multi-hop, self-healing network.
