Konseptin uudistaminen tapahtumalle Kuksajaiset

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön aiheena oli konseptin uudistaminen tapahtumalle Kuksajaiset. Toimeksiantajana oli Lapin ammattikorkeakoulun opiskelijakunta ROTKO, joka on julkishallinnollinen elin ja jonka tehtävänä on toimia ammattikorkeakouluopiskelijoiden edunvalvojana ja yhteisöllisyyden edistäjinä. ROTKO on myös Kuksajaiset-tapahtuman järjestäjäorganisaatio. Opinnäytetyön tehtävänä oli uudistaa tapahtumaa niin, että kaikki Lapin ammattikorkeakoulun opiskelijat otetaan huomioon riippumatta asuinpaikkakunnasta tai vuosikurssista. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli luoda toimeksiantajalle uudistettu kirjallinen konsepti tapahtumalle Kuksajaiset, koska kirjallista konseptia ei ole ollut aikaisemmin.

Opinnäytetyön tietoperustan muodostivat nykyiset ja entiset opiskelijakunnan toimijat sekä kirjalliset lähteet. Opinnäytetyön toteutus oli menetelmiltään ja luonteeltaan kehittävä ja analysoiva. Aineistoa kerättiin opiskelijakunnan materiaaleista, entisen luottamustoimijan haastattelulla, yhteisöllisellä työpajalla sekä kirjallisilla lähteillä. Opinnäytetyön tekijöillä on ollut myös omaa kokemuspohjaa Kuksajaiset-tapahtumasta sekä osallistujan että järjestäjän rooleista. Aineistoa analysoitiin SWOT-analyysin avulla.

Menetelmien kautta saadut tulokset osoittivat, että uudistamiselle oli tarve ja kehityskohteet löytyivät valikoitujen menetelmien avulla. Opinnäytetyön keskeiseksi tulokseksi saatiin luotua uudistettu kirjallinen tapahtumakonsepti Kuksajaiset-tapahtumasta, toimeksiantajan opiskelijakunta ROTKOn käyttöön. Opinnäytetyön tuloksista ja tuotoksista voivat hyötyä sekä opiskelijakunta ROTKOn toimijat että opiskelijat tapahtuman kehittämisen myötä.

The topic of the thesis was the renewal of the concept for the event “Kuksajaiset”. The commissioner of the thesis was ROTKO, the Student Union of Lapland University of Applied Sciences. ROTKO is a public administration body whose task is to act as a guardian of the interests of students at the University of Lapland of Applied Sciences and to promote communality among them. ROTKO is also the organizing organization of the event “Kuksajaiset”. The task of the thesis was to renew the event so that all students at the Lapland University of Applied Sciences are taken into account regardless of their place of residence or how many years they have been studying. The aim of the thesis was to create a renewed written concept for “Kuksajaiset” for the commissioner because there has not been a written concept before.

The knowledge base of the thesis was gathered and formed from the discussions with current and former members of the Student Union ROTKO as well as from the written sources. The implementation of the thesis was developmental and analytical in terms of methods and the nature of the thesis. The material for the thesis was collected from a communality workshop, interviewing a former member of the student union, and from written sources. The authors of the thesis have also had their own experiences based on the roles of both the participant and the organizer of the event “Kuksajaiset”. The material was analyzed using a SWOT analysis.

The results obtained through the methods showed that there was a need for renewal and that areas for development were found using selected methods. The main result of the thesis was the creation of a renewed written event concept of the “Kuksajaiset” event. Both the members of the Student Union ROTKO and the students can benefit from the results and outputs of the thesis.
