The goal of this project is to create a laboratory environment to simulate real equipment for further use to include in the educational programs of the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
This project consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the basics of the technologies used in this project such as virtualization and virtual machines. Additionally, it describes the components of virtualization and virtual machines, as well as their operation and benefits. The theoretical part also describes the NDG server platform, which is used as a network platform for creating a working environment.
The practical part of the project provides a detailed step-by-step description of the creation of this project along with screenshots from the process of creating a pod for the Security Ethical Hacking v2 course. In addition, as an extra task, in the practical instructions are given for creating a custom pod, which is used to create more specific lab tasks for more effective learning.
This final-year project intended to add the Security Ethical Hacking v2 course to the education program as a training program that runs on the servers of Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. The course will be used as part of student education.
