Tiivistelmä
This is a diary-based thesis of a full-stack software developer at the beginning of a career who works in a Finnish company and develops an e-commerce solution as well as enterprise software that digitalizes the company’s business. The thesis work contains daily observation and weekly analysis entries for eight weeks of work for the period from 17.01.2022 to 25.03.2022. The entries cover the daily tasks of a full-stack developer and a self-reflection on challenges and learnings discovered during the work process.
The thesis analyses one's work based on the available professional literature tracks the learning progress achieved during the observation period defines potential directions of professional growth and gives practical recommendations on that.
The analysis covers technical aspects of work suck as an elaboration on programming skills and programming practices in general, specific analysis of work with particular tools and technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, DevOps tools, etc. As well it covers interpersonal skills required for work in a tech field.
In the discussion part the author makes conclusions based on the observation period analysis and sets the goals for the future professional development.
