A Feasibility Analysis for an Imaginary Coffee-House in Konepaja Area

Abstract

This thesis is an entrepreneurial self-practice. It contains subjects such as SWOT analysis, business model canvas and feasibility analysis steps to test a business idea’s desirability. Its purpose is to explain the process of starting a business from the beginning on how to generate and find business ideas, to testing and analysing its feasibility. A find of an already existing business concept discovered in Mid-Europe that combines coffee-culture and co-workspaces together rose a curiosity if it could work in Helsinki. Finland in general is a coffee-cultured country with thousands of coffee-houses all around. Konepaja area was chosen to test the concept’s feasibility because of the becoming key district for offices and traffic development in Pasila. The main subjects this thesis focuses on is the business model canvas and feasibility analysis. Related books and online sources are used to support the writing. A quantitative method was used to analyse the concepts feasibility. This thesis main purpose is to answer the question: Can this business concept work in Konepaja?
