This thesis studies the benefits of an international internship and focuses on a specific experience of conducting an internship in Dubai Expo 2020.
Firstly, the goal is to understand the value of an international internship experience and career readiness through this experience, as well as today’s global mobility for students. The study aims to understand the student’s professional development and international internships as a phenomenon.
Secondly, the aim is to study the key take aways the students participating in this study had from their internship experience in Dubai Expo 2020 as well as how it affected their professional growth.
Thirdly, the key results and conclusions are presented.
The research was conducted using a qualitative research method, by individually interviewing seven students who took part in working at Expo 2020. The thesis process lasted from end of April to the beginning of June 2022.
