Tiivistelmä
The objective of the project was to build and design a prototype of a face-recognising RFID locking system, using RFID rings, to provide a smoother and more secure entry of any pathway.
From hardware point of view, the priority of the project was “simplicity”, hence only physical components used were an RFID-reader as activator, a camera module as the observer and a Raspberry Pi 4B as the intelligence. From software point of view technologies as data-handling, face-detection, ID-recognising, and timestamping were used. For the software ready-made code was utilized for communication with physical components.
Apart from adding security and awareness, using this product on a bigger scale, can daily save valuable time, hence reinforce productivity.
