Tiivistelmä
The aim of the thesis is to to investigate on available credit analysis instruments and apply those methods to check creditworthiness of governmental customers.
Many companies are forced to offer better credit terms to a borrower/counterparty, to mitigate competition from larger companies in the market. Usually, customers would prefer a better credit payment arrangement to just simply cash payments or advance payment terms. To comply with longer payment terms, corporations rely on creditworthiness of their customers.
Commissioning company has shown interest in seeing a bigger picture of the connection between creditworthiness and state-owned enterprises. Currently available credit risk rates provided by certain agencies like Moody’s mainly indicate credit risk rates of the country/government but not directly of state-owned enterprises.
Thesis research also covers all required information on backround of the study, key concepts, demarcation, risks and risk management and shortly theoretical frame of the study.
