Vanhemman ja lapsen välisen myönteisen vuorovaikutuksen tukeminen: toiminnalliset ja luovat menetelmät lapsiperheiden toimintapäivän aikana

Abstract

Tämän toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön tuotoksena oli toteuttaa oululaiselle Opastavan perhetyön hankkeelle tapahtuma sekä kerätä vanhemmilta palautetta hankkeen toiminnan kehittämiseksi. Tapahtuma oli suunnattu hankkeen asiakasperheille, joissa on 3–10-vuotiaita lapsia. Tapahtuman toiminnan tavoitteeksi asetettiin vanhemman ja lapsen välisen myönteisen vuorovaikutuksen tukeminen toiminnallisten ja luovien menetelmien avulla. Tapahtuman aikana käytetyt menetelmät olivat sadutus, satuhieronta, rastirata sekä Unelmien saari -taikataikinatyö. Opinnäytetyön teoreettisessa viitekehyksessä kerrotaan laajasti lapsen kehitysvaiheista, ja vanhemman ja lapsen välisen myönteisen vuorovaikutuksen merkityksestä lapsen normaalille kehitykselle ja koko perheen hyvinvoinnille. Lisäksi teoriaosuudessa käsitellään toiminnallisia ja luovia menetelmiä ja tutkimustaustaa niiden käytöstä myönteisen vuorovaikutuksen tukemisessa. Myös tapahtumaan valitut menetelmät on perusteltu teoriatiedolla. Opinnäytetyötä varten aineistoa kerättiin perheiltä sekä tehtävärasteja ohjanneilta henkilöiltä. Aineistonkeruumenetelminä käytettiin havainnointia, palautelomaketta, kvantitatiivista mielipidemittausta sekä lasten yksilöhaastattelua. Aineistojen perusteella myönteistä vuorovaikutusta oli saatu menetelmillä aikaiseksi vanhemman ja lapsen välillä, ja tapahtuma oli koettu mielekkäänä. Lisäksi vanhempien palaute hankkeen toimintaa kohtaan oli hyvin myönteinen. Vanhemmat toivoivat tapahtumaa vastaavaa, kiireetöntä yhdessäoloa koko perheelle. Kehitysehdotuksia hankkeen toiminnan kehittämiseksi ei tullut.

The product of this practice-based bachelor’s thesis was to conduct an event for the Opastava perhetyö project in Oulu and to collect feedback from parents to develop the work and activities of the project. The event was targeted for the project’s client families with children aged 3-10. The goal of the event was to support positive parent-child interaction by means of practice-based and art-based methods. The methods used during the event were called story crafting, fairytale massage, action track and the island of the dreams -magic dough crafting. The theoretical framework of the bachelor’s thesis provides extensive information on the stages of the child’s development, and the significance of the positive parent-child interaction for the normal development of the child and for the well-being of the whole family. In addition, the theory section discusses practice-based and art-based methods and research on their use in supporting positive interaction. The methods have been chosen based on theoretical knowledge. The material for the bachelor’s thesis was collected from the families and from the people who supervised the tasks. The data collection methods used were observation, a feedback form, quantitative opinion survey and individual interviews of children. According to the material, positive parent-child interaction had been achieved by the methods, and the event had been experienced as meaningful. In addition, the parents’ feedback on the activities provided by the project was very positive. The parents hoped for easygoing leisure events for the whole family, like the event had been. There were no improvement proposals to develop the work and activities of the project.
