Tiivistelmä
Analysis of the first chapter of this thesis paper clearly stated that the primary aim of this research study is to investigate the effectiveness of applying green supply chain management activities within business operations of Indian industries. The study has developed on the conventional supply chain management process which helps to supply products from the manufacturing company to consumers. This helps improve the economic condition. Here, The green supply chain process has been discussed. This is an ecological as well as economic process in which organizers are focusing on green manufacturing, Green warehousing, And green transporting. A green logistics process is also developed for maintaining the environment properly as well as improving the company's growth. Reverse logistics is focusing on returning the faulty product to the manufacturer. Different types of IT sectors in India have developed the management of the sustainable supply chain that is included with green initiatives. L&T, Infosys, TCS, as well as HCL, have the proper commitment to the development of the GSCM. Thus, Case study analysis is used for the analysis of secondary data and in that case business case studies of TCS, L&T, and HCL. Based on the analysis of the case studies it is recognized that the adoption of GSCM in the business of all organizations are necessary for the betterment of business operation to gain sustainability. Therefore, in the case of the implementation of GSCM in India, there is the presence of issues like lack of support from the organization and lack of training for the employees. Thus, The usage of e-vehicles and delivery of skill development training to the employees can help to ensure success in the implementation of GSCM in business for taking competitive advantages.
