This thesis is a diary following author’s work life as a software developer. In this diary he documents his daily activities and provides grounds and assessments for the decisions he makes. During the documented time period author makes a transfer to IT team to start in a new role of an IT specialist.
The thesis starts with the description of the current situation and the company. After that come diary entries, which are kept for 12 weeks during period 05.09.2022 - 02.12.2022. Daily entries are followed by weekly summaries and analyses.
The author has been working in the company for four years as a software developer. Therefore, he is well accustomed with the workflow, projects and technologies that are used. While keeping this diary, he aims to take a fresh look at the familiar tasks and environment.
This diary thesis gives an insight into a daily work life of a software developer with a few years of experience, as well as into the experience of changing a role and a team within the company.
