Tiivistelmä
Tämä opinnäytetyö toteutettiin Pohjois-Suomen työterveys Ry:n esittämästä tarpeesta verinäytteenoton perehdytysmateriaalille. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tuottaa selkeä perehdytysmateriaali työntekijöiden käyttöön. Perehdytysmateriaalin avulla ylläpidetään laadukasta verinäytteenottotoimintaa. Suurin osa työntekijöistä ovat koulutukseltaan terveydenhoitajia. Perehdytysmateriaali oli tarpeellinen, sillä terveydenhoitajilla ei ole yhtä laajaa kokemusta verinäytteenotosta kuin bioanalyytikoilla, eikä toimeksiantajalla ollut käytössä perehdytysmateriaalia verinäytteenottoon.
Perehdytysmateriaali esiteltiin perehdytystilaisuudessa, johon osallistuivat työntekijät, esimies, sekä toimeksiantajan yhteyshenkilö. Perehdytystilaisuus oli avoin tilaisuus, jossa oli vapaata keskustelua työntekijöiden sekä esittelijöiden kesken. Keskustelun avulla perehdytystilaisuudesta saatiin monipuolisempi. Perehdytysmateriaali koettiin selkeäksi ja hyödylliseksi kokonaisuudeksi, joka sopii nykyisille sekä uusille työntekijöille.
Perehdytysmateriaali sisälsi laboratoriotutkimusten lyhenteet, näytteenottovälineet, veriputkikartan, laboratoriotutkimusprosessin, laskimo- ja ihopistonäytteenotto-ohjeet, näytteiden käsittely, säilytys ja kuljetus ohjeet, sekä vinkkejä verinäytteenottoon työntekijöiden toiveesta. Teemahaastatteluista saatiin selville, että materiaali oli suunniteltu selkeästi ja ytimekkäästi. Perehdytysmateriaalin laatimisessa on käytetty laadukkaita lähteitä, jotka löytyvät materiaalin lopusta. The topic for this functional thesis was given by the registered association of northern Finland’s occupational health. The purpose of this work was to establish orientation material regarding phlebotomy practices with blood samples. The target was to create an easy-use, self-explanatory and high-quality orientation material for the health nurses of registered association of northern Finland’s occupational health.
This thesis is a report and has an output section which carries out as a functional thesis. The report section contains information on theory of phlebotomy and blood sample collection, phases in phlebotomy and analysis of blood samples, and methods used for analyzing use of the material. The report section also covers the steps of the functional thesis, its process and description of the output.
The output of this functional thesis is the orientation material. The written orientation material covers the phases of blood sample collection, blood collection tube chart, instructions on the correct methods, importance of patient instructions, and helpful tips for difficult and challenging instances. The material is meant to be used as a helpful tool during blood sample collection and as orientation material for a new worker. The material contains pictures to help associate the theory of phlebotomy to blood sample collection. This enables the workers to obtain complete picture of the phlebotomy process and what is needed for it to be successful.
The orientation material was presented to the health nurses of registered association of northern Finland’s occupational in March of 2023. An interview was held for the nurses after the presentation regarding the contents of the orientation material and the presentation.
