This thesis explores the concept of test automation and its benefits in software development. Test automation is the process of automating testing process of software to reduce the time and effort required to get good test coverage. The thesis covers various aspects of test automation, including different automation methodologies, tools used in automation, implementation, and example of test automation in use. The goal of thesis is to create interface automation for Windows applications using Python and Robot Framework.
The thesis also discusses different options for interface-based test automation, the application that is being automated, future upgrades for the project, and challenges during development.
