The aim of the thesis was to document the author’s work within two projects at Nokia while
employed in the Radio CI team. The daily working tasks were the main focus of the writing.
Furthermore, included are weekly reflections of learning opportunities and difficulties faced.
There were two main projects that were focused on, within the thesis time period of eight weeks.
The planning, reporting, and monitoring of the projects also forms part of the thesis. The first project,
“ConfigDB”, is a continuous project into which the author has been contributing to as a front-end
developer. The second project is “DUT Ctrl”. This project is larger and more varied and over the
course of writing became the main source of daily work.
As a result of the thesis, an understanding can be made of the work tasks, methods of learning and
personal development made. There will also be clarity given to areas identified for improvement
alongside insight into tools, processes and technologies used within the diary working time.
