The objective of this thesis was to study the advantages and disadvantages of developing an online portfolio for job market in the IT-industry. The work was done independently by the author of the thesis.
In this thesis, first the topic of portfolios and their contents are discussed with emphasis on the requirements of the IT-industry. The demands of recruiters are discussed and the information that should be included in a portfolio is defined.
In the development section, the tools and methods for creating the portfolio for this thesis, are determined. The specifications discussed in the first part are laid out and a mock-up is created. Then the development process of the portfolio is detailed.
Finally, the main points discovered during research and development are laid out and summarized.
