This is a diary-type thesis, which will follow the writer’s daily development as a Salesforce consultant through the course of an 8-week period. The thesis consists of an introduction, framework, diary entries, discussion, and conclusions. Before the observation period, the thesis covers the introduction, background information about the author’s time at the company and the company itself, and a framework to set a starting point. The diary entries are split by week and they contain an entry of each day, and the week is concluded with an analysis. The main tasks are related to consultation, agile development, and the software JIRA, gearset, and Salesforce.
The observation period was 02.10.2023 – 24.11.2023.
The main focus during the observation period was on the development of different customers’ salesforce Environments, specifically regarding different integrations, hosting demonstrations, doing software deployments, Salesforce Flow, general configuration with Salesforce, customer consultation, and communication internally with colleagues and externally with customers. Best practices regarding different software and their methodologies are brought up throughout the thesis. Analyzing personal work, observation and self-reflection have a big impact on the success of professional development.
