Tiivistelmä
This project-based bachelor’s thesis explores the domain of human resource (HR) practices and their development and customisation for the early-stage start-up venture Amutri Ltd. The primary objective is to develop a tailored HR recruitment plan that aligns with Amutri's needs, particularly in recruiting high-quality tech talent to support its growth.
Start-ups are dynamic and often resource-constrained entities, steering innovative ideas and technologies across various industries. In the world of start-ups, the role of HR is pivotal, aligning with the unique characteristics of these entrepreneurial ventures. Subsequently, the primary objective of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive strategic framework designed to meet the needs of recruitment within the dynamic sphere of start-ups, with a particular focus on the recruitment efforts of Amutri.
This project-based thesis effectively bridges the theoretical and practical aspects of HR management within the distinct start-up context. The theoretical framework within the thesis outlines key start-up characteristics and emphasises the role of HR management, and recruitment in particular, in their growth and success.
To formulate a customised HR recruitment plan, a detailed analysis of Amutri's existing HR practices and recruitment documents was conducted, establishing a foundation embedded in both past and current recruitment activities. Additionally, interviews with Amutri's leadership were conducted to gain insights into their specific recruitment requirements and how the new plan could benefit Amutri.
The result of this project thesis is the creation of a tailored recruitment plan designed for Amutri Ltd, an early-stage tech start-up based in the United Kingdom. This plan serves as a valuable resource to enhance Amutri's ability to attract and retain top talent as it continues to navigate the challenges of the start-up landscape.
