Tiivistelmä
This is the bachelor thesis written by the bachelor student who studied in Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences about sustainable tourism in the destinations in Myanmar. The chosen destinations in this thesis are Bagan and Ngapali. These all destinations have many different problems in keeping attraction to both domestic and international tourism.
The main purpose of this thesis is to give the knowledge about the sustainable situation of Tourism in Myanmar, which include the introduction about the destination, inform the general knowledge about the chosen country as a tourist attraction. Moreover, the aim of this thesis is giving the perspective about the level of sustainability of tourism in Myanmar and the chosen destination cities, and the problem of tourism development.
This is a qualitative research method thesis by using interview from local experts from different fields and tourism experts. According to the situation of the destination, author has limited sources.
Finally, this thesis show to readers that Myanmar had low levels and knowledge of sustainable tourism due to unstable situation in the destination, in order to offer general education of sustainability to local people.
