The thesis work studied the potential of rural tourism in the Kaski district, with a special focus on its community-based features and their contribution to tourism development. The aim of conducting this research is to deeper understanding of the role of community-based initiatives in promoting economic, environmental, and socio-cultural development in the Kaski rural tourism sector. This research has used qualitative analysis to meet the aim of the study. Unstructured interviews with open-ended questionnaires were used as data collection strategy for this study. The finding of this study illustrates that rural tourism raises job opportunities, growing the local economy, and investment in Kaski districts. The research found positive impacts on socio-cultural development, positive and some negative impacts on Economic and Environmental development in Kaski district.
