Tiivistelmä
The thesis is about guiding foreign students on the prevention of depression in Finland through the use of flyers. Depression is one of the critical issues in human health and is regarded as a mental health issue. It is one of the leading causes of disability across the globe, so it is important to create awareness. Our purpose is to produce flyers that contain guidelines on the factors that influence depression and ways on how to prevent it. Our objective is to produce educational material (flyers) for the benefit of foreign students in which makes them aware of the causes and how they can be able to handle it. For developing our functional thesis writing, we used research methods that included the evidence-based practice articles such as: Access, Cochraine Library, Cinahl, Pubmed and Medscape. According to used literature, loneliness, cultural differences and language barriers are the leading causes of depression among foreign students. To address these issues, we proposed approaches and strategies to help foreign students in preventing depression.
