EKG-rekisteröinti opetusvideo hoitotyön opiskelijoille

Abstract

Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa opetusvideo EKG-rekisteröinnistä Tampereen ammattikorkeakoulun hoitotyön opiskelijoille. Opinnäytetyö prosessi alkoi tutustumalla tutkittuun tietoon terveydenhuoltoalan työntekijöiden osaamiseen EKG-rekisteröinnin toteuttajina. Terveydenhuollon työntekijöillä on tutkitun tiedon mukaan ongelmia anatomisesti oikeiden rekisteröintipaikkojen löytämisessä.

Opinnäytetyön tavoite on lisätä osaamista EKG-rekisteröinnin toteuttamiseen opiskeluvaiheessa. Opinnäytetyö vastaa kahteen kysymykseen, jotka ovat: miten toteutetaan luotettava EKG-rekisteröinti ja miten välttää artefaktit EKG-rekisteröintiä tehdessä. Opinnäytetyön teoreettiset lähtökohdat rakentuivat EKG-rekisteröinnin toteuttamisen ympärille.

Tämän toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön tuotoksena syntyi opetusvideo. Opetusvideon tekemisessä hyödynnettiin tutkittua tietoa videon käytöstä opetusmetodina. Tämä näkyi valmiissa tuotoksessa sen tiiviissä kestossa, selkeydessä sekä oppimista tukevina elementteinä, kuten äänen, tekstityksen ja havainnollistavien kuvien käytössä. Mahdollista jatkokehitystä opinnäytetyölle olisi tutkimuksen toteuttaminen sairaanhoitajien EKG-rekisteröinnin toteuttamisen osaamisesta.

This thesis was made for Tampere University of Applied Sciences. The idea of this thesis was to produce educational video on 12-lead resting ECG-recording for healthcare students at Tampere University of Applied Sciences. The thesis addresses researched information of nurses competence in conducting ECG-recordings. According to studies made in Finland and the UK nurses have problems locating anatomically correct places for ECG-electrodes.

The objective of the thesis was to enhance the competence of healthcare students in performing ECG recordings. The thesis presents how to conduct reliable ECG recordings and how to avoid artifacts during the process. The theoretical framework of the thesis revolves around reliable and artifact-free ECG recordings.

The outcome of the thesis was a lecture-style instructional video covering the process of ECG recording and identifying artifacts in ECG recordings. The instructional video comprised three different parts: preparation for ECG recording, execution of ECG recording, and identification of artifacts. Potential further development for the thesis could involve conducting research on the competence of registered nurses in performing ECG recordings. The video can be part of ECG-education in Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
