Tiivistelmä
The purpose of this thesis work was to construct and characterize a low dew point temperature generator, based on an existing design already in use in Vaisala. The thesis covers theory about operation principles and process parameters of the generator, and how these are used to generate accurate humidity levels for a wide range of tests.
Measurement devices, reference instruments and data collection devices used in the thesis work are introduced and their operation principles are explained.
The generator was constructed and characterized as planned and was determined to be operational. According to the uncertainty analysis, the performance of the generator was deemed sufficient for future use of research & development department.
