Tiivistelmä
The objective of the thesis was to create a job seeking process to improve chances of finding suitable employment for a focus group consisting of Master’s level degree students and graduates. The current resources offered to the job seekers, while good and comprehensive, rarely layout a clear path to follow and to address this need a clear step-by-step process was created.
Applied action research design was used to find the strengths and weaknesses of the current way of doing things from the focus group. Best practices and solutions to the findings were then searched from relevant literature to form the base for a proposal of a process that was later validated.
Final outcome of the thesis is a simple step-by-step process to work as a guide to the job seeker to find suitable employment opportunities. The created process can be used as it is or expanded to different focus groups in the future.
