The main purpose of this study is to know the effect of organizational climate on employee commitment. The main objective of study was to determine whether organizational climate has an effect on the employee commitment and what are the factors that affect it. The research was conducted on the primary data. The sample size was of 40-50 employees from different universities of Vaasa Finland. The study has different factors that make organizational climates. The two forms of commitment were mainly used in the studies that are affective and normative form of commitment.
The findings of the study show the factors responsible for the employee commitment. The limitation of the study is that the sample size is small as well as the data results obtained are biased to some extent due to the fear of the employees regarding their jobs. The results of this study are that the employee’s commitment is highly dependent on the climate of the organization. The normative form of commitment is dependent on the structure that the organization where as affective form of commitment is dependent on the structure and conflicts of the organizational climate. It can be said that the factors of organizational climate responsible for employee commitment are the structure, conflicts and rewards to a very little extent.
