The concept of sustainability has assumed greater importance due to the growing alarm over issues of global warming and pollution impacting the environment, economy, and human health. As a result of this increasing recognition of resource limits, the conduct of business itself is now subject to growing expectations of responsible practice by governments, investors, and consumers. This research is a study of sustainability in supply chain sourcing, featuring a case study of a fashion brand Zara, owned by Inditex of Spain. This has particular relevance as the textile industry is widely blamed for being a major contributor in polluting the environment.
