The aim of this project was to develop an indoor plant watering system using voice recognition technology to simplify plant care. Addressing the inconsistencies and labour-intensive nature of traditional watering methods, the objective was to create a user-friendly, automated solution.
The system employed an M5Stack Basic Core to display room humidity and temperature, and a soil moisture sensor for soil conditions. A voice recognition module enabled hands-free operation, activating a water pump upon command.
Development involved hardware assembly, software programming, and user-centered design. Evaluation demonstrated high accuracy in voice recognition, precise watering schedules tailored to plant needs, and reliable performance across various conditions.
This work provides a practical, efficient solution for modern indoor gardening, enhancing plant care and reducing manual effort.
