Tiivistelmä
The main goal of my thesis labelled “ERP Transformation in Big Organizations” involves identifying problems, solutions, challenges & opportunities associated when migrating whole core stack of systems, including both inhouse and external, branded as legacy systems, to a more modern, up to standard ERP. In my case, the focus area will be limited to currently existing financial systems (Proteus, Plutus, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009, Rillion Prime, etc.) and what needs to be done to achieve end-to-end transformation delivery to target system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations).
In more detail, I aim to identify what business, in this case Lindström, needs to do from Design phase to Go Live phase in order to achieve its goal of transformation. I aim to identify processes each key stakeholder needs to take, let it be key Business User, Solution Owner, Architect, Business Owner, or a Service Design team. Also to identify what kind of documentation needs to be created such as SDD (Solution Design Documentation), PDD (Process Design Documentation), etc. as well as question and hear input from different stakeholders of what they see as problems, possible solutions, challenges, and opportunities which will be supported by actual research done within the organization.
This thesis will omit and not include evaluation of other Business Units such as SCM (Supply Chain Management), Logistics, Marketing, CS (Customer Service), etc. and will solely focus on a domain of IT & Finance.
In the end, I hope to create a paper which can be used as system agnostic blueprint for current & future ERP transformation in Lindström.
