Tiivistelmä
The purpose of this thesis project was to map out the testing coverage of FMT tester that is used for production testing of KDX frequency converters. The test is conducted by testing the individual wire connections inside the KDX. Every wire connection is disconnected one by one and the FMT test is run to understand if the tester will notice the missing wire connections.
The project required construction of a test KDX unit which includes PCB design, CAD design and manufacturing of custom cable set.
Final output of the project is a detailed list of all the wire connections and information on whether the FMT test notices missing connection on the cables of KDX or not. This knowledge provides information for developing the FMT test sequence to have higher test coverage. Improving the test coverage will offer improvement in quality related key performance indicators for the product.
