This thesis examines the principles of Family-Centered Care (FCC) in pediatric nursing practice, with a focus on its application in hospital and healthcare settings. The study explores the evolving concept of FCC, emphasizing the importance of dignity, respect, and involvement of families in the care process. The thesis also investigates the role of nurses in the successful implementation of FCC and the challenges faced in pediatric care environments. Key findings from the literature review highlight the positive impact of FCC on children’s health, confidence, and overall family well-being. The study emphasizes the need for continued advocacy and policy changes to support FCC in healthcare systems.
