It was an interesting journey to do this research. Literally, author’s (my) first thesis research. Although I have done similar big research during my studies, I never did it alone. We were in groups and teams, and we had our share of the report in terms of workload. Here the situation was unique, where I had to do the work part. Certainly, the process of establishing a business at the beginning, having a full-time job and being a full-time student was not a smooth journey. However, I have managed and succeeded in establishing the business, maintained my job and almost completed my studies. Personally, I believe it is a great achievement.
During this thesis process I have learned about dynamic of taxi business in Finland. How the companies operate throughout Finland. What are the legal requirements to be an entrepreneur in general and to be an entrepreneur in taxi business. I have experienced in practical life that “if you want to be successful walk alone but if you want to go a long way go with a group”. This metaphor perfectly fitted with the concept of sole entrepreneurship and partnering with others as a sole entrepreneur.
This report helped me to analyze several different options of investments and to decide which one is the best option for me based on my target and financial ability. I have chosen the one that best suited me, and I will not mention it directly on purpose to leave a neutral place for the readers to have their opinion of their plans. If I mention my choice, it may confuse the reader.
It was reconfirmed that, despite the high level of competition, a quality product or service always attracts the best of the customers. I realized that during training in a partner company’s training les-sons.
Apart from business, in the thesis itself I have learned many important this which are very valuable to me. I have learned how to compose a thesis report, I do not consider myself perfect or good because I made a lot of mistakes during the thesis writing process, which is part of the study. The main point of the thesis is to exercise our capabilities and capacities of collecting, analyzing and reporting abilities. I strongly agree that the concept of exercising our capabilities worked for me.
