Health care experts on a daily basis could be one of the most fulfilling experiences a person can have. Positive outcomes may include acquiring new knowledge and engaging with experts. The purpose of this thesis was to describe the important factors, that contribute to a positive or negative patient experience in an isolation unit. The aim of this review was to produce new knowledge and a supportive environment for patients in isolation.
Data were collected by using CINAHL, PubMed, and Pro Quest. There were 11 articles selected by using inclusion and exclusion criteria. Inductive content analysis was used to analyze the data collected. In the content analysis two main categories and several generic categories which were produced by using the two-study questions.
Results showed that how patient's experiences with isolation units vary greatly, but it is typically influenced by factors such as communication with healthcare providers, comfort and amenities, emotional support, and perceived care quality. Understanding these factors can improve healthcare delivery and patient satisfaction in isolation units. There were numerous stress related factors discovered that had an impact on patient safety. There were some preventive measures found to alleviate the patient's stress.
Our findings concluded that this study's findings demonstrated the effects of stress and how it could be avoided. By outlining the effects of stress and how it can be avoided, nurses and hospital staff can gain a better understanding of how to reduce its occurrence. Furthermore, it is the organization's responsibility to make necessary changes to the working environment and regulations.
